Concurent with the development of the local economy, Quang Nam Posts 7 Telecommunications has grown rapidly in recent years.

In seven years, Quang Nam Posts 7 Telecommunications has exceeded most post-telecommunications norms. It grew an average of 24.5 percent each year in 1997-2000.  Telephone use increased 22.7 percent.  Revenue expanded 36.2 percent in 2001 ;  37.1 percent in 2002 and 24.36 percent in the early half of this year reaching more than VND60 billion.

One among major polical tasks is to ensure through communication between localities in the province particularly mountainous and remote areas including six mountain districts.  The number of post offices rose from 70 in 1997 to more than 60 post offices and 108 commune culture-post offices thus far accounting for a service radius of 4.5km/office against the former nearly 8km/office.

Peripheral projects, transmission lines and switching systems have been built or upgraded to meet the demand for high-quality services particularly in central areas such as Tam Ky and Hoi An Towns and the plains districts including Nui Thanh, Thang Binh, Duy Xuyen and Dien Ban.  Meantime, switching systems in mountain districts have been expanded and empowered.  Post offices and commune culture-post offices are going stable and efficiently.

In recent years, Quang Nam has been listed among fast growing provinces in the central region.  Many large projects are under construction such as the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and Nam Dien Ngoc Industrial Park.  Tours are being promoted to take advantage of its two world cultural heritage sites recognized by UNESCO.

The Government is considering several other macro projects including the Thanh My Cement Plant and A Vuong Hydro-electric Plant.   Quang Nam Province is in the central major economic zone, and its economy is growing rapidly and subtainably.    To facilitate economic development, the province's post and telecommunications sector is committed to improving work efficiency and contributing to the growth of the national post and telecommunications industry.
